How I Use Airtable In My Systems Business

I was at the gym the other day talking to my personal trainer about how they manage client data (as you do 😝) and if they have a workout database.

And as I was thinking through their tech and use case, I realized that Airtable would be an absolute game changer for them.

I haven't been talking a lot about specific tools lately but if you haven't heard of Airtable, I want to give you a little insight into how I use it.

So, I consider Asana to be the place I manage TASKS and PROJECTS and Airtable to be where I manage DATA.

Although both tools can be used for both uses - I prefer Asana as a task manager and Airtable as a database.

I use Airtable for a few main things:

1. Client + testimonials database

I keep a full list of all my clients, their status, the offers they've enrolled in, their birthdays, their intake forms and all the questions they send me as well as a testimonials database that is tagged and categorized by the type of testimonial.

2. Content database

I am still building this slowly but I am adding every email I've written, every webinar I've done and every talk or post into this database with tags and categories to make it easy to repurpose.

3. SOP database

This is being built as we speak for my Empowered Action clients where they can easily manage all the SOP's for their business. So, the SOP itself may be a document in Google Drive or Dropbox but they can search, sort, and filter SOP's in Airtable for easy access.

All three of these can be done in Asana which is what I did for years, and now I'm refining and expanding these systems with Airtable.

If you haven't heard about Airtable and you're looking for a solution to manage data in your business without a million spreadsheets, check it out.
